The Quonset Air Museum in the News
QAM Closed for the Summer While Searching for New Home
Blizzard after blizzard might have caved in the roof this winter, but even Mother Nature can't cave in the spirits of the volunteers at the Quonset Air Museum. Beaten but not broken, QAM will be closed to visitors now through the summer while it searches for a new location.
QAM is currently in negotiations with the State of Rhode Island to be re-homed to another site in the Quonset Point area. The aircraft will be maintained throughout that time outside of the museum's hangar facility. As always, QAM will also have a major presence at this year's Air National Guard Air Show on May 30 and 31. QAM organizers appreciate your patience while they scout new locations. Contributions and support are always welcomed, particularly during this period of change.
